Chris and Valerie Barr

Barr Born and educated in England, Chris graduated from Hartland College in Virginia, while Valerie, born in India, graduated from London University. She taught in England, Ireland, Canada and the USA and home-schooled their daughter through to college, while Chris pastored in Ireland, Iowa, and Missouri. Currently serving as a pastoral team in Montana with a strong emphasis on health, they present total vegetarian cooking schools and workshops in natural remedies and hydrotherapy.


Mark and Conna Bond

Bond Mark and Conna Bond live and work as a family 8 miles from campus. He has a bachelor's degree in corporate communications, and has worked as an art director and graphic designer for fifteen years. She earned her undergraduate degree in history and recently finished law school. Together they run a creative services agency, Bond Design, Inc., home-school their four children, and write and perform original sacred music. Interested in encouraging personal Bible study, they launched a web-based ministry, Start With Genesis that led them to interact with BSI.


Lee and Jolynn Gugliotto

Gugliotto Jolynn and Lee Gugliotto co-founded Empower Ministries, the circle of disciples that calls BSI, home. As Business Manager of BSI and a former elementary teacher, Jolynn knows how to simplify concepts and to communicate with anyone on any level. People frequently come to her for guidance through difficult situations. The Evangelical Christian Publishers Association awarded Lee a Gold Medallion for his Handbook for Bible Study, making it the interdenominational Bible study book of 1996. Dr. William H. Shea once described him as, “a scholar with a pastor's heart.” Lee is a shepherd who truly looks after those for whom he simplifies interpretation, evangelism, and discipleship.


Ron Halverson, Jr.

Halverson Ron Halvorsen, Jr. has an M.Div from Andrews Theological Seminary and a B.A. in Theology and Youth Ministry from Union College. God has blessed Ron's passion for ministering to young people not only in North America, but also around the world. Even when he served as Senior Pastor of a 3,000 member University Church, Ron found time to focus on youth and reaching them for Jesus. If you have a desire to reach young people and young adults for Christ, he has a desire to help you do it.


Kurt Johnson

Johnson Dr. Kurt Johnson is the Discover Bible School Director for the Voice of Prophecy. An excellent speaker, he has conducted training seminars on various topics of outreach throughout North America and internationally including, Small Group Ministries, Organizing a Bible Study Ministry, Making Visits, Obtaining Decisions, The Holy Spirit & Prayer, and Spirit-Filled Leadership. Among his most recent publications are, When Heaven Pauses, Face to Face with Jesus, and Small Groups for the End Time.
